This year’s „Medical Week“, the medical congress for complementary medicine, which took place from 28 October to 1 November 2017 in the Baden-Baden Congress Centre, recorded a very pleasing result. Numerous doctors, alternative practitioners and therapists from all over the world came together in the city at the foot of the Black Forest to direct the „view to the whole“ in accordance with the motto of the event, to inform themselves about naturopathic therapy procedures and to discuss. More than 300 speakers informed the visitors during the five-day training event in around 200 lectures and 130 courses.
Airnergy was also traditionally represented with an information stand at the Medical Week. Many interested parties received information about the offers of the company, which presented its devices for spirovital therapy and dermovital treatment at the fair.

Among the numerous visitors and long-standing, mostly international partners who came to the Airnergy booth was Dr. Tony Jimenez. The well-known physician, who is considered one of the leading authorities in alternative cancer therapies and lectures worldwide, is Medical Director and founder of the Hope4Cancer Institute in Playas de Tijuana, Mexico. There he offers his experience in alternative and conventional treatments, using more than 20 different treatment modalities to support the immune system.

„In four years, this disease will potentially be the number one cause of death!“ This is what Dr. Jorge Alberto Duque Mejia from Colombia, one of the most important therapists for the treatment of the lung disease COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), says. The World Health Organization (WHO) also gives frightening forecasts for the development of the disease, which experts estimate already affects more than half a billion people worldwide, including around seven million in Germany alone. COPD is already the third leading cause of death – so it can already be defined as a global problem. And particularly alarming: Of the ten most common diseases leading to death, COPD is the only one whose number is constantly increasing.

The Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Diseases (GOLD) took this worrying situation as an opportunity 15 years ago to launch a World COPD Day, which has since been held annually in the autumn – this year on 15 November. As in previous years, COPD was pointed out worldwide on this day and numerous events were held to inform about the clinical picture, course and treatment options.

This task was also highlighted at the 19th Congress of the Communist Party of China as an important mission for the future.

Heinrich Popow, one of the most successful, well-known and popular track and field athletes in the world, recently visited „Bio Bärbel“, Germany’s first organic bistro with organic kiosk in Eitorf/Sieg, to find out about „Healthy Nutrition“ and „Healthy Breathing“ in theory and practice. The multiple Paralympics winner, multiple world and European champion with a total of 29 medals as well as current world record holders in the 100 m sprint and long jump received valuable tips in vegetarian, vegan and raw food cuisine from Bärbel Baum, business owner of Bio Bärbel.

He was enthusiastic about the food and drinks she prepared. „The smoothies are awesome – from an ecotropholgic point of view as well as in terms of taste,“ says Popow. And he has to know, because as a top athlete he receives an excellent diet specially selected for competitive athletes and also knows its value and composition very well.

Popov, who lost his left leg at the age of nine, also does motivational work – e.B. in hospitals, where he advises those affected to exercise after amputation, or via social media. The popular athlete recently proved his sporting talent as a dancer in the RTL show „Let’s dance“.

At the beginning of November, the second part of our series on the air was published. Above all, it is about the contribution plants make to securing our existence. Because without them we could not survive. They are the ones who absorb the carbon dioxide that is exhaled by humans and animals and that would be harmful to us and our environment in too large quantities. And they ensure that in this process, photosynthesis, oxygen is released into the air – a substance that is vital for us.
The benefits we have from this are enormous: for example, a hundred-year-old beech gives about as much oxygen to the environment via its leaves in an hour as 50 people need to breathe during this time! The most oxygen is supplied by the tropical rainforest, especially in South America and Asia. The trees and plants growing here could supply the whole world with oxygen – even if all trees in Europe had no leaves in the winter time.
