„Breathing opens the windows of the soul“

„40 years of outsider methods in Latin America“ – this was the topic on which Dr. Alberto Duque, a lecturer and therapist from Colombia who is known far beyond the borders of his home country, gave an interview to the broadcaster SteinZeit TV a few days ago. In an interview with SteinZeit TV presenter Robert Stein, Alberto Duque, who received his school education 66 years ago in Germany – at the Schloss Salem boarding school near Lake Constance – comments in particular on spirovitalization, a therapy that he has been using in his practice for many years with overwhelming success.

In the article, the prominent guest first deals with the alarming development of the lung disease COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), which will possibly be the number one cause of death in four years and from which up to 1 billion people could then suffer. The WHO also gives frightening forecasts regarding the worldwide increase in this disease. „It’s like a tsunami coming our way,“ said Duque, whose sister died of COPD. As the main cause of COPD, he cites smoking (including passive smoking) and the associated damage to lung tissue; other causes are longer stays in polluted environments – due to smoke, dust, exhaust fumes – or asthma.
